Playing Putt Putt Mini Golf for Kids - Victoria Park Brisbane is rewarding for all the family!

Whatever a child’s background, fitness, experience or ability Putt Putt is a great way for children to develop their motor skills and hand-eye coordination while having fun together outdoors. It’s great for sporty kids who want a new challenge, while equally suitable for a more tentative child who might dislike more physically-demanding sports and wants to find a confidence-boosting sport of their own.

Mini Golf can also teach children (and adults) sportsmanship, working with and respecting others, concentration, listening and commitment.

It's also a game that encourages individuals to take personal responsibility, as in life, the ball doesn't always bounce your way. Regardless of the outcome, there is no blaming your teammates or competitors for what happens.

Furthermore, golf relies on etiquette, not judges or a referee; instead, players govern themselves and fellow competitors. Thus rewarding a young person's ability to keep each shot in perspective, maintain a positive outlook and focus on the shot at hand.

Also, parents and grandparents don't have to barrack from the sideline - it's a game the whole family can enjoy together.

Just two kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD, Victoria Park is located off Herston Rd in between QUT's Kelvin Grove Campus and the Royal Brisbane Hospital. It is easily accessible from the Inner City Bypass (ICB - Northbound). Parking is free and a short walk to the course. Victoria Park Golf Complex is not only home to the 18-hole Putt-Putt course, but a 61-bay day and night Driving Range, an 18-hole public Golf Course, and a family friendly Bistro with on-site playground and kids’ games area.
Staff at the Pro Golf Shop, where you pay for entry to the Putt-Putt, were friendly and helpful. The course has a number of places to stop, rest and enjoy the views with drink vending machines.
The mini golf course has been designed to challenge children and adults of all ages and skill sets. The variety of features, including bridges, sand and water traps (just to name a few), keep young-ones engaged throughout the 18-holes. It's a great outdoor activity for all the family where you can keep the fun rolling with a nearby playground and children's games area at the Bistro.
The course includes a number of water features so children must be supervised at all times as they can easily fall-in. There are a number of signs kindly reminding everyone that the large rock features (that are extremely inviting for little ones) are not to be climbed on. If your budding golfer, also happens to be "Happy Gilmore" in training they may need some assistance to ensure no-one gets hurt by swinging golf-clubs or rogue balls.
