Join me as I explore all the latest disaster response equipment and emergency services vehicles in action and meet local SES, Police, Ambulance, Firefighters, Marine Rescue, and Defence Force representatives and volunteers.

On Sunday, 5th of March, I met some of the wonderful men and women who give so much to protect and serve our community at the Brisbane Emergency Services Expo at Teralba Park, Pullen Road, at Everton Park.

I had the opportunity to get up close and steer rescue boats, police and ambulance motorbikes, all-terrain response vehicles and other high-tech disaster response equipment. Did I mention fire trucks? What child (and adult) doesn’t love fire trucks?

It was a great day out for all the family to get informed and interact with demonstrations, activities for children of all ages, and have the chance to win prizes and give-aways, but most importantly an opportunity to acknowledge and support the organisations that support our community.

Event Review

A free event for all the family - You can't beat FREE!
A relatively central location in Brisbane's Northern suburbs. The event was very popular and so parking was difficult.
All the organisers and volunteers were very friendly. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of helpful information available (online) to help plan your day.
Lots of activities for children and adults of all ages. A great opportunity for toddlers and preschoolers to explore emergency service vehicles and learn about the role workers and volunteers play in our community.
Arguably one of the safest events you could possibly attend, with all the emergency services represented and on hand should anyone require assistance.
